(Deep breath) Ok here goes…
When Superman and I got married he and I were both virgins. Gasp! I know, shocking isn’t it? Well, it’s true. Despite this fact, I wasn’t nervous at all on our wedding night. I was curious and there was something exciting about the unknown. Of course I was also excited to finally find out what all the hype was about. I’ll paint the picture of how I imagined it to be like. It would be beautiful, romantic and passionate. And yes, I was aware of the inevitable pain and discomfort, I mean I wasn’t naïve but it wouldn’t be anything I couldn’t handle and it would most likely give way to pure awesomeness after an hour at the most. Ya know, cuz we are first timers here.
HA!
Let’s just say that that beautiful picture I painted for myself was soon ripped to shreds
I mean don’t get me wrong. It did start out beautiful, romantic and passionate but as soon as we got down to the “nitty gritty,” I suddenly wasn’t so excited, curiosity had decided that it wanted no parts of it and the “pure awesomeness” stood me up without even calling. The only thing that remained constant and true to my beautiful picture was the intruding presence of the pain and discomfort. Oh and remember when I said those two would only last for an hour? Um, yeah that was a gross miscalculation. It was more like, let’s see…add 3, carry the 1, minus 5…a month! Yup that’s right. It was about a month before I started to feel any resemblance of pure awesomeness and even then it was more like pure awesomeness’ distant cousin, once removed. However, I will say that our first experience together was still beautiful because we love each other and we had the privilege of experiencing this great act of love for the first time, only with each other.
Now, for all you engaged ladies that have yet to be de-flowered, I’m not trying to scare you. I’m simply relaying my honest experience to you guys. I mean yes, for the life of me I couldn’t understand WHY anyone would want to do it, but eventually I did find out why (wink, wink). It won’t always be that way. It can and will be everything “they” say it is. It just takes patience (a lot of patience) and practice (a lot of practice) on both of your parts. You have to get good at it just like anything else. Take math for example…er…ok well perhaps I shouldn’t use math, I’ve always sucked at it no matter how much I practiced but you get my drift.
Here’s my advice, if you want to educate yourself about something you have to do your research right? Look it up on the internet...

try different techniques...um...I can't exactly give you a picture to go with this one...
Anyway, my point is that everyone is different and different things work for different people so don't get discouraged. Have fun and don’t give up!
XOXO,
TNB
